CTIS removes unpredictability in tyre pressure and introduces not only live pressure data, but also driver control in inflation or
deflation with touch of a button.
The Driver Control Unit (DCU) is the control center of CTIS. It is from here, the driver selects the terrain and load settings and inflates or deflates tyres. The DCU displays tyre pressure of all tyres sequentially (live if TPMS is installed) and receives various alerts and indications regarding CTIS parameters.
The Electro Pneumatic Control Hub (EPCH) is located in the center of the vehicle axle and acts as the hub. It is a micro processor based unit that regulates air pressure in all Tyres, as per driver's commands through DCU.
Wheel Valves controls the air flow during inflation and deflation modes. It seals the air pressure in the tyre and prevents leakage.
Measures the tyre pressure at regular interval and maintains the right tyre pressure by inflation or deflation
Abandons Punctured tyre warning, if the puncture tyre situation continues for more than a stipulated period and cautions the user.
Based on the vehicle's speed, determines the right terrain ,alerts for user's intervention for a stipulated time and automatically changes the terrain thereafter
Shut downs completely in order not be sensed during stealth situations.
Cautions the user if the compressor pressure is less than the required minimum pressure for CTIS so as to save the air for braking application
Highway, Cross country, Mud/Sand/Snow & Emergency.
Recognizes a punctured tyre situation based on the rate of change of pressure and cautions the user.
Empty, Partially Loaded and Fully Loaded.
Military - CTIS is an important fixture in military vehicles which includes War Field Vehicles, Armoured Personnel Carriers, Utility Vehicles, Logistics Vehicles and high altitude vehicles. CTIS eliminates vehicle breakdown due to deflated tyres, which is critical for military vehicles.
The facility to change terrain, inflate and deflate tyres comes in as a very useful function for drivers operating vehicles in this segment. CTIS increases driver comfort & ensures safety, saves fuel cost and reduces tyre wear.
Soi l compaction is a serious issue for many farmers. When soil is compacted, it loses the ability to store air and water, which are crucial for seed germination and crop growth”. CTIS helps in reducing soil compaction in agriculture thus enhancing crop productivity.
